Get started in Microsoft Teams

Close and reopen Teams, then check Apps → Manage your apps. If it is still missing, your organization may require an admin to approve new apps before you can use them.

Contact your Teams admin or contact Grayson.

When installing from the browser, confirm you are signed in with a work or school Office 365 account. Grayson must be added to a work or school tenant—not a personal Microsoft account.

Click your profile in the top-right of the Marketplace page and verify the account and tenant before you click Get it now.

If Grayson isn't pinned, in your favorites, or you don't have an active chat with it, open the More options menu (three dots … ) on the Teams sidebar, search your installed apps, and open Grayson TimeSeries Lite from there.

From the same menu you can Pin the app to your sidebar for quicker access. See Pin to your sidebar for step-by-step instructions.

Grayson accepts:

CSV (.csv) — supported

Excel (.xlsx) — supported

Legacy Excel (.xls) — not supported

Max file size is 10 MB per upload. Expected data is time-series or tabular data with at least one numeric column. Re-save .xls files as .xlsx or CSV and try again.

Legacy .xls format is not supported. Open the file in Excel and save as .xlsx, or export to CSV, then upload again.

Grayson matches column names exactly as they appear in your file. Check spelling and capitalization, or ask Grayson to inspect the data structure and list the columns it can see.

Chart rendering depends on the Teams client and environment. During preview, charts may not display everywhere. The underlying numbers and tables are still produced.

Try the Teams desktop app, or ask Grayson to return the results as a table.

To clear your conversation and return to the Grayson home screen, open the 'more options' menu (…) on the top right of the window while you are in the Grayson TimeSeries chat, then click 'remove chat'. Grayson will return to the welcome home view as if you are starting over.

Open Grayson TimeSeries Lite in Teams (personal chat).

Say Generate sample data to try the bot without your own file, or upload a CSV or Excel (.xlsx) file (max 10 MB).

Ask for analysis in plain language, for example:

Detect anomalies in temperature

Forecast trends for the next 30 periods

Show correlation between columns

Assess data quality

Show statistics for all numeric columns

You can also use the command menu next to the compose box.
